Monday Club

Monday Club

Suspended during the COVID-19 pandemic

The club is a free play session for any child who attends school from reception to Year 3. Their younger siblings may also attend, provided a parent or carer stays with them. Children who attend school full time do not need to have a parent or carer stay with them.

We meet in the School Room at Stalham Baptist Church from 15:00 to 16:30 on Mondays in school term time.

Our aim is to give local children a safe, fun and welcoming place where they can be creative and hear the Gospel in a child friendly way.

All the adults who help with the play session have been DBS checked. We may, at times, have a young adult placed with us, from another organisation, who wishes to spend some time working with children, they are always supervised.

There are lots of play activities on offer each week including clay/play dough modelling, junk modelling, painting or colouring, crafts of differing media, Lego, dressing up, activities involving food and there is always a snack and drink. The children are free to do as many or as few of the activities as they wish. Towards the end of the session we have a Bible story, a song and then a group game before going home.

At various times throughout the year we have themed activities such as Easter, Valentine's, Harvest and Christmas. For the last few years the children have created a wonderful Christmas tree for the tree festival at St Mary's Church.

Everyone is welcome to drop in and see what we do and if your child is not sure about coming along, try visiting for a short time one week and they can try us out!
